Whew! Those last entries (and having to edit out the entire world in those photos) was quite an undertaking! However, don’t think it took away from the fun, even for a millisecond. People have been reading my blog and partaking in this niche of questionable liaisons, motivating me to type the keys that produce the message. As mentioned in a tweet, I’m thoroughly convinced these exercises of hedonic expression got me into school. For that, I thank YOU for reading. Now, onto the fun.

Through these reviews, my appreciation for a good submission has grown tenfold. While it seems the Japanese have an affinity for submissions and the selling that comes with it, my journey is a bit different. The physicality of delivering a pinning combination was something that can’t be underestimated. BATTLE understands the thrill that comes with witnessing such action, thus making a four-volume set of just that - matches that end with falls.



The video opens with Rin, donning a solid blue Mizuno suit with white kneepads and boots. Can’t complain about that color choice either, as it matches her quite well. She gets interviewed about her skillset and how she will win the match.



Next up is Shinobu, adorned in a simple red, Arena suit with gray and white stripes on the sides. Black kneepads and white boots complete the look. After an interview, she has a message for the Rin that she will be victorious today.



Judging by her stature, it is easy to think she might make quick work of her opponent, but sometimes the most aggressive of competitors come in petite packages. In the world of BATTLE, all are equal in the ring.



In a classic “Red vs. Blue” matchup, the contest begins with both competitors kneeling.





Shinobu goes for the pin first, only to have Rin kick out immediately.





Rin goes for the cover in retaliation, only to have Shinobu break the pin.





Not much is heard other than grunts of the fighters exerting effort and the sound of the ring canvas echoing under the pressure of both girls going at it.





Back and forth, the momentum shifts, as it seems to be a test of stamina.



Who will gas out first?











Despite Rin being smaller in stature, she puts up a great fight against her opponent.





Both competitors signal for the three-count, as the ref slaps the mat off-screen.





“1…”

“2…”

Kick out!







Not quite done just yet.









Both continue to give it their very best...







But...











They lock up and...





Shinobu retakes control!







Shinobu places all her mass on the smaller Rin, pinning the shoulders back.



Is this it?

“1…”

“2…”

“3!”







Shinobu gets credit for the first fall. If she secures another pin, then it is game, set, and match. Rin is already tired, not putting up any struggle as she lays on the mat defeated.

[PART 2]






Shinobu picks up where she left off, pushing Rin around to test her opponent. Rin grumbles and groans in protest.



She is going to have to rethink her strategy. Although smaller than Shinobu, she is quick. Use that speed to your advantage, yo!



Perhaps she heard me, as Rin gets Shinobu in a lightning-fast pin.

The ref slaps the mat, but we have only a two-count. There you go, put out some more offense there. Just because the opponent is larger doesn’t mean you can’t have a sound offense (defeat of the Spanish Armada, amirite?)







Shinobu fights back, and the momentum is gridlocked. Shinobu goes for another pin, but that is rebuffed. Back and forth, both fighters exchange falls and kick outs.







Rin turns up the speed again, getting a pin for a near fall.







Followed by another pin. The speed is wearing down her opponent. But both are quite tired, so this round is up for grabs at this point.



Shinobu goes for the pin. The ref counts.





“1…”

“2…”

Break! No fall!







They lock up again, and Rin switches up her tactics. Using angles, she pushes Shinobu around and even gets another near fall.









Shinobu is strong, but with the right leverage, she could be sent to the mat.





With her size, she can still get Rin in a few pins.









The momentum continues to shift!





Who will win this round?







The lithe Rin sinks her teeth and goes for a final push.





Shinobu grunts, trying to break free. Rin hooks the leg!

“1…”

“2…”

“3!”





Rin manages to pull it off, securing the 1-1 fall.







Rin sits atop of weakened opponent, looking like a lioness taking down big game. Now we are all tied up!

Whoever takes the next round is the winner of the match. Will the bulkier Shinobu take the crown, or will little Rin and her speed be too much of a hurdle to overcome. You guessed it…tune in next time for the exciting conclusion. In the meantime, scroll back up and enjoy the scenery, LOL.
