Well, now, onto the final act of this match. With Asami tasting defeat at the end of a boot, she battled back to put Miyu on the canvas. The next round (or set in this case) will determine who wins the day. Place your bets! Who do you think is going to emerge victoriously?





Another lock-up!



Pushing and shoving, trying to break each other's "kuzushi," or balance.



Asami sends her opponent to the mat. A count ensues.

2...



Nope, too early! The match goes on.





Both fighters square up again until…



Asami goes for another pin.

"Fall," she states as the ref slaps the mat.

1...

2...



Kick out, followed by a reversal pin!

1...

2...

Break. Both are not giving in.





More pushing and shoving, trying to get some momentum.



Miyu is on the offense, forcing Asami to the ring floor.

1...

2...



Asami pushes Miyu off her, catching her breath in the process.



Asami goes on the attack herself, applying pressure to Miyu's shoulder, causing both to collapse onto the canvas.

Not yet! Miyu has some fight in her, for sure.





Asami changes tactics, trying to get lower leverage on Miyu.





That didn't work, however as Miyu is delivering the pinning combo.

Break! Asami is still chugging along with no end in sight.







Both are winded and starting to wheeze from exhaustion. At any moment, this match could end.



Miyu with the flash pin! Is this it?

Kickout by Asami! Miyu is visibly frustrated but tries to put on a brave face. This is literally anyone's match. Who has what it takes to go for broke?





Another lock up and another pin by Asami.

2...



No sire, 'tis not the end yet as Miyu breaks free.

Both competitors exhaustingly scan each other for any potential weaknesses. The next big move can decide this match. Which one of these roses will wither first?



They lock up once again, shoving each other with the little stamina they have left.



Asami goes for the pin, whimpering from fatigue and desperation as she sinks Miyu into the padded ring. The count begins.

Miyu flips Asami over, going for a quick pin of her own. Both competitors are wincing and whimpering from the toil and effort of battle. The pin begins

Asami breaks free, panting from the lack of stamina.



Miyu pins Asami back down on the mat, locking her shoulders underneath her weight.

Another kick out! Asami is not giving up.



Miyu grabs onto her opponent's tired and withered legs in a last-ditch attempt and flips her over. Asami cries out for someone to help, only to have no answer in return. She is at the mercy of Miyu. The ref slaps the mat.

Asami pants loudly, trying with all her might to squirm out of the pin. Miyu continues to hold on.

2...

They are both squirming as Miyu continues to grasp on to Asami, letting out exasperated sighs of her own. Asami is trying to muscle her way out as she suddenly…



3!



Gives in to her exhaustion, as Miyu is declared the winner. Asami slinks down into the ring floor like a rag doll, worn out from her worthy opponent.



Still catching her breath, it takes a minute for Miyu to recognize she won as she stands over her opponent. A boot on the chest of the fallen Asami signifies what a hard fought victory looks like, giving your all for the chance to win.



“Yappari, kuchi dake datta wa ne! - I knew you were all talk!" Miyu declares as she slowly realizes her triumph in the ring.





As this contest comes to a close (alliteration, baby!), the Only Fall Match series begins with a full salvo of nonstop pinning action. The competitors did their best to keep it entertaining and full of enough grit and determination to keep fans wanting more. As an enthusiast myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the camera work and how much effort the four ladies put in their will to win. Hopefully, this isn't the last of them, and they can somehow make their way back to the ring once the thrill of competition comes calling. If you love pinning combinations, beautiful simplicity, and excellent wrestling action jam-packed into a 50-minute ordeal, look no further than the first installment of the Only Fall Match series.
